Building leadership and execution capacity in Saudi food retail
Experience snapshot
Food retail · Saudi Arabia · B4 consulting engagement
The situation
A sweets and pastry business with approximately 200 production staff and around 40 outlets across Jeddah and other parts of Saudi Arabia needed support that went beyond a strategic plan and into the way its functions and leadership worked.
My contribution
- I supported execution across functions, including second-line leadership hiring, training and mentoring.
- I worked on functional improvement and the connection between the business plan and daily execution.
- I helped develop a live-kitchen brand concept, including brand and layout work.
Deliverables and scope
The engagement included hands-on execution and leadership development, alongside strategy and concept work. The public account describes the scope of my contribution; commercial outcomes and internal operating data remain confidential.
Developing a live-kitchen concept
I helped develop the live-kitchen brand concept and worked on layouts as part of the wider engagement. The concept is now operational; its subsequent commercial performance is not presented here as a measured result of my advisory work.
Practical implication
The management team had practical work on roles, capability and functional improvement to carry into its operating routines.
